Dietary Department – Aide/Cook Position:
Schmitt Woodland Hills Dietary Department is in need of a team player to fill an Aide/Cook position. This cook position is responsible for the following duties in our Health Center. The ideal candidate will learn all cook positions to be able to fill in the schedule as needed. This position can be anywhere from 20-40 hours per week. Every other weekend is a must. Cook
To prepare food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, the facilities policies and procedures and as directed by the Dietary Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menu and established portion control procedures
- Assist in ensuring proper temperature, quality and appearance of food being served
- Proper storage of raw and leftover foods
- Complete the daily or scheduled cleaning duties
- Perform all daily tasks in accordance with established sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Ensure that the department and all food storage and/or work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
- Ensure that the equipment and supplies are properly maintained and arranged
- Maintain habits of good personal hygiene
- Promptly report all hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents to the Dietary Manager
- Review menus prior to preparation of food and complete preparation guides
- Complete necessary forms and reports for submission to Dietary Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $12.96 – $15.66 per hour
