Dietary Department Aide/Cook

Dietary Department – Aide/Cook Position:

Schmitt Woodland Hills Dietary Department is in need of a team player to fill an Aide position. This position is responsible for the below duties in our various care environments. The ideal candidate will learn multiple positions in the building and be able to fill in the schedule as needed. We currently have 2 openings, 1 part time and 1 full time.

Typical hours would be 10:30am-6:30pm, with a requirement that you work every other weekend. Please contact Laura Pyfferoen, Dietary Manager at 608-647-8931 ext. 124 for more details.



  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menu and established portion control procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents
  • Assist in ensuring proper temperature, quality and appearance of food being served
  • Proper storage of raw and leftover foods
  • Complete the daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including clearing tables after meals, doing dishes, and cleaning work areas
  • Perform all daily tasks in accordance with established sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the department and all food storage and/or work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
  • Ensure that the equipment and supplies are properly maintained and arranged
  • Maintain habits of good personal hygiene
  • Promptly report all hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents to the Dietary Manager
  • Complete necessary forms and reports for submission to Dietary Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $11.23 – $13.48 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
